Welcome to the 2025 Highland Sharks Swim Team!

 

The Highland Sharks are a competitive swim team serving Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Westfield and the surrounding areas for swimmers age 5 to 18 and has a rich 73-year tradition.

 

The Highland Swim Team's mission is to provide a safe, competitive swimming program that emphasizes personal improvement through stroke technique and training designed to maximize each swimmer's capability in competitive swimming. 

 

Each summer we are growing and training new swimmers to maintain a well-rounded competitive swim team. Thank you for joining us and we are looking forward to meeting you. 

 

We plan to start swim team training on Monday, June 9th for a week, then full time on Thursday, June 26th.

The swimmer's family must be members of Highland Swim Club. See our Membership page to join: Membership

 

New swimmers interested in joining the team must meet minimum safety requirements: Swimmers are required to pass our deep-water test which consists of swimming 1 lap of freestyle and treading water for 1 minute.  There will be no official tryout.

 

A $65 fee, per child, capped at $130 per family, will be payable to participate on the swim team.  

 

Finally, we are looking for parent volunteers to run and/or help with some of the parent volunteer roles this season.  If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know.
